Nested under the Ministry of Justice, the Foundation was created to promote the integration of religious minorities, particularly by funding religious minority federations and communities to strengthen their cultural, educational and social activities, as well as supporting their institutional coordination.
The Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies has its origin in the agreement adopted by the European Parliament in 1984 for the creation of the Euro-Arab University. On October 10, 1995, the Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies was established, a unique institution in the international framework by virtue of its composition and its mission: to create a space for dialogue and cooperation between the countries of the European Union and those of the League of Arab States.
Located in Granada, a city of reference in the historical relations between Europe and the Arab world, the Foundation is governed by a mixed board of trustees made up of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Junta de Andalucía and the University of Granada. The Board of Trustees is chaired by the Secretary General of Universities of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
Through its activities, the Euro-Arab Foundation dedicates all its efforts to promoting Euro-Arab cooperation , promoting academic, social and cultural activities, as well as spreading new trends and trends in the sciences and humanities.
Through collaboration agreements, the Euroárabe Foundation maintains relationships with a wide number of institutions and organizations in the fields of education, research, the economy, cooperation and culture.

La Fundación Euroárabe para Estudios Superiores tiene su origen en el acuerdo adoptado por el Parlamento Europeo en 1984 para la creación de la Universidad Euroárabe.
